Message from President
Our history, which began with the launch of development of mineral phosphate on the uninhabited South Seas island of “Rasa” (owned by our company, located approximately 408 km southeast of Naha city, Okinawa Prefecture), has been by no means uneventful. It has been ninety years since our establishment, during which time with your support we have overcome repeated crises such as withdrawal from businesses in fertilizers, mining, and smelting, changes in business conditions, undertaking new business challenges.
Our present core businesses include chemical synthetic products, electronic materials, and machinery, but we want to operate this company in a way that allows us to deal with the major changes that are coming in the future, and we think that global expansion and the development of new products are essential conditions for doing so
In our role as a manufacturing company, we want to engage the total forces of technology, planning, sales, and information gathering that have been cultivated through our history and traditions. We will build on these strengths to keep up with the demands of society and the current era, with “fine chemicals, electronics, and eco-recycling” as our key words. We intend to work tenaciously and flexibly to meet these demands, making every effort to provide products and services to our customers in newer and wider areas of endeavor.In the meantime, moreover, it will be a great pleasure for all the employees of our company who will shoulder such responsibility to gain your trust, while they emphasize not only economic rationality, but also our corporate philosophy of honesty, sincerity, and diligence which have been cultivated throughout our history.
