■ Strong-points of E-Beam Welding
- The beam will be stable since the control system is performed electronically, so it makes excellent reproducibility at high level of quality.
- Deep penetration welding is possible by narrow width of bead since the electron beam has a high energy density,
- The amount of heat input and the deformation during welding is comparably small, and the range of heat affected zone is also narrow.
- It is available for wide range of welding such as High melting point (W, Mo, Nb) materials, high thermal conductivity (Ag, Cu, Al) materials and etc.
- It is also able to weld nonferrous metals (Al, Cu, Ti).
- It allows to weld between two dissimilar materials (Cu-SUS, Cu-Kovar).
- There is no contamination or oxidation by gas because of its welding in high vacuum.
- You could have a choice between a specific and a general joint shape or both.
